The Aliança SIPA is led by the Research Group on Integrated Crop-Livestock System (GPSIPA) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do
Sul (UFRGS), the Agricultural Technology Innovation Center (NITA) at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), and the Research and Innovation Group in Pure and Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems (GPISI) at the Federal University of Rondonópolis (UFR), recognized for their solid technical-scientific production and extensive experience in ICLS research and human resources training.
Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems (ICLS) are production systems that plan associations of crops and animal production to explore synergies resulting from interactions between soil, plant, animal, and atmosphere.
ICLS is also more popularly known as CLI (crop-livestock integration). The ICLS has been recognized as a unique option of production systems where it is possible to aim, concomitantly, the intensification of production with environmental sustainability
